Little Bulb Theatre is a national touring company based in the South East of England. We are commited to developing devised and physical theatre performances which explore and illuminate the minute human details which, in a world so big, are easily swallowed up.
Combining innovative puppetry and high energy ensemble storytellying alongside beautiful imagery and homemade music, we aspire to create performances that with humour and sadness will touch, startle and entertain.
The Little Bulb Theatre Company was started out at the university of Kent where all it's members (strung out over different year groups) came together to explore a shared love of all things theatrical.
We like working in new and unexpected ways and, inspired by lot's of different styles, hope to incorporate as many different methods as possible into our working process.

One thing that we all feel passionately about is music and it's ability to inspire and communicate beyond language in a universal way. Music is an essential part of how we make our theatre. Whether it is live or recorded, modern or very old, music informs and inspires our work.
Very often we use music as a tool to transport us, and our audiences, somewhere else, where the world of the characters meets our own, and we are committed to making music that is wild, imaginative and fully theatrical. We dabble and play in all genres using a wide variety of traditional and exotic instruments with rich vocal arrangements.
What we hope is that we may continue to explore how the unique details of characters can be brought to life for all audiences through experimentations in staging and passionate performance. We hope you've enjoyed our work and we promise to keep working hard!
